My morning walk
6.30am We enter the park and as its monsoon time, I keep a keen eye on the long grass on the off chance that a snake may come out for a slither having been rained out of its home.
6.35 am Rosie enjoys running circles around the gang of kids playing cricket and the ladies who pick weeds out of the grass.
6.40am I say hello to the old boys club, who always sit on the same bench and share the gossip of the day.
6.45 am We watch a variety of extraordinary yogic breathing enthusiasts, for whom the clearing of nasal passages is an essential and noisy start to the day.
6.50am A solo female jogger runs past in a full sari and hair perfectly oiled into place.
6.55am I take a look at my ankles which have so many mosquito bites they look like they've been machine gunned.
7.00 am Total distance completed 2.2 km.
